GX5642: Bidirectional differential TTL I/O PXI board
overviewGX5642 is a 3U PXI instrument board that can be used for data acquisition, process control, automatic test equipment (ATE), functional testing, and factory automation applications. The board includes 64 bidirectional TTL differential to differential LVDS I/O channels. Each channel has two interfaces (TTL and LVDS) and can be individually configured to operate in either conversion or static I/O mode. GX5642 can support 128 independent digital inputs or outputs, 64 TTL, 64 differential LVDS, and 64 conversion channels. Each channel of GX5641 can be individually programmed to transition mode or static mode. The default value for switching direction can be set by configuring the onboard switch. According to the selected mode, the channel of GX5641 can be predefined to convert TTL to differential LVDS, and vice versa. |

characteristicEach channel of GX5642 can be individually set through software control, with two modes: conversion mode and static I/O mode. In static I/O mode, GX5642 supports 128 independent digital inputs or outputs: 64TTL and 64 differential interfaces. The direction of each interface can be individually set under software control to achieve input or output. For example, channel 1 differential LVDS port output and TTL port input. In conversion mode, GX5642 supports 64 independent channels, each of which can be programmed to convert TTL to differential LVDS level or vice versa. And, the predefined DIP switch conversion direction for each channel can be loaded at any time, overriding the current settings (predefined default values). In two modes, TTL and differential signals can be monitored. When powered on, all 64 channel outputs are disabled. GX5642 provides a 100 Ω terminal for each differential I/O signal. GX5642 can also be configured as an independent module without software control. When configured in independent mode, the module only operates in transition mode, and according to the default direction switch settings, the direction of each channel is set to power on. |
Programming and SoftwareThis board provides GXPIO library, including virtual instrument panel, Windows 32/64 bit DLL driver library, and documentation. The virtual panel can be used for interactive programming, controlling the instrument displayed in the window, and displaying the current settings and status of the instrument. In addition, interface files are provided to support access to programming tools and languages such as ATEasy LabVIEW、LabVIEW/Real-Time、C/C++、Microsoft Visual Basic ®、 Delphi and Pascal. The online help document and PDF user guide contain instructions for installation, use, and board programming. An independent software development package - GtLinux - supports Linux 32/64 bit operating systems. application
